Imperial cities tour from Casablanca itinerary:

Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat

The departure of the tour will be at 8:00 in the morning from your Hotel in Casablanca. You will visit the magnificent mosque of Hassan II. It was built by the order of King Hassan II in the last century. The mosque combines Moroccan and Islamic architecture with its 210 m high minaret. Later on, we will drive along the Atlantic coast to Rabat which is the political and the current capital of the Kingdom. There, you will visit the old Kasbah of Oudaya with its small Blue-white houses. After lunch, you will visit the Hassan Tower and the King Mohammed V mausoleum. Then, we will visit Chellah Necropolis where there are the ruins of Roman and Islamic civilizations in Morocco. After you visit Rabat attractions, you will spend a night in Riad/Hotel in Rabat.

Day 2: Rabat – Meknes – Volibulis – Fes

After breakfast in the hotel, we will drive along with the agricultural fields to Meknes city. Meknes is the Ismaily capital and the city of walls. There, you will visit the enormous gate of Bab al Mansour in front of Lahdim square and Mausoleum Moulay Ismail. And you will explore the prison of Qarra which is the largest and the most horrible prison in history. Lunch is in a restaurant overlooking the city. Thereafter, we will stop to visit the holy city of Moulay Idriss and the archaeological site of Romans and Berbers in Volubilis. This site was founded in the 3rd century BC, it was declared as a UNESCO world heritage in 1997. Finally, we will drive to Fes and have a night overnight at the hotel or Riad.

Day 3: Fes City Sightseeing Tour

Fes city is one of the oldest cities you will explore in Morocco imperial cities tour. You will spend exploring the attractions of the antique city of Fes. Fes is the spiritual capital city of the Kingdom. It has the largest and the oldest Medina in the world. In the Morning after Breakfast, you walk along the old Medina streets to visit Bab Boujloud and the old university in the world of Jamaa El Karaouine. Then, you will visit the Bou Inania Madrasa, tanneries, Al Attarine Madrasa, and the Moroccan Jewish Mellah. After visiting all the attractions, you will have a night in the same accommodation.

Day 4: Ifrane – Midelt – Errachidia – Erfoud – Merzouga

The departure to the Ifran town is after breakfast at 8:00 am. Ifrane is commonly known in Morocco as the small Switzerland of Morocco thanks to the Building with the European style. Thereafter, we will drive along the way where there are Berber villages and Cedar Forest in the Atlas Mountains. It is the largest forest in North Africa where you can see monkeys. Then, we will be in Midelt city for lunch and enjoy the panoramic view of Ziz Valley. After that, we will reach Merzouga in the afternoon finding camels waiting for you. You will ride camels and cross the dunes to enjoy the best sunset in the desert. And you continue your way to the desert camp where you will spend the night and enjoy dinner and music.

Day 5: Todra Gorges – Dades valley – Rose Valley – Ouarzazate

On this fifth day of Morocco Imperial cities, you will explore Kasbahs and Oasis in the southeastern region. Thus, our journey will start from the camp after breakfast. We will lead you through the Tafilalet Oasis and Ksours towards Todra Gorges. It is on the north side of Tinghir city. Todra Gorges are a special series of limestone river canyons that tourists visited on the way to Ouarzazate. After that, we will pass Dades Valley to visit the Roses Valley. It is famous for aromatic rose trees that diffuse throughout the length of the Valley. After lunch in a restaurant with a panoramic view of the Valley, we continue to Ouarzazate to have the night and dinner.

Day 6: Ouarzazate (Atlas Studio) – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

The visit of Ouarzazate will be after having a local Berber breakfast in the hotel. Ouarzazate means in Berber ” City without noise”. The city has the natural and human qualifications to be the premier destination for filmmakers in North Africa and The Atlas Studio. Enormous cinematic works in the world are made here such as The Mummy, Gladiator, and Game of Thrones. Later on, we will visit the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou near Ouarzazate which is an intangible human heritage. It is also used in global movies as a castle. Lunch will be at Ait Ourir Kasbah. Then, we will drive to Marrakech through High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi-n-Tichka pass. Overnight is in Riad in Marrakech.

Day 7: Marrakech Sightseeing Tour

Exploring Marrakech sightseeing will be with a local guide of the city. Marrakech is the imperial capital of the Almoravid Empire. It is also known as the red city due to the red buildings everywhere. The guided tour will start by visiting the El- Badi Palace, the Saadian Tombs and the Bahia Palace. Moreover, you will visit the old Medina of Marrakech and the antique mosque of Koutoubia. It exists in front of the Jemaa el-Fena square. And you will visit local markets and have lunch and a cafe before we move to the other side of the city. There, you will visit the Marrakech’s Museum and the Majorelle garden. When you visit all sites, you will a coffee break before you go back to the Jemaa El-Fena square. And you have free time in the evening. Overnight is in the Hotel.

Day 8: Transfer to the Airport

On this last day of the Morocco imperial cities tour, we will transfer to the airport in Marrakech or Casablanca.
