2 Days Tour from Fes to Merzouga Itinerary
Day 1: Fes _ Ifran _ Cedar Forest _ Ziz Valley _ Merzouga
After breakfast, we will drive from Fes through the mountains of the Middle Atlas. On our way, we will visit Ifrane city which is the cleanest city in Morocco. There, you will visit its attractions and visit Cedar forest in Azou village. In this forest, you can see and take pictures of barbarous apes. Thereafter, we will drive to Midelt town. It is located between the two mountain ranges, the Middle Atlas and the High Atlas. When we have lunch in this town, we will cross to the mountain pass of Tizi n Telghamt at 2000m high. After that, we will stop in Zizi valley to enjoy a panoramic view. This valley is one also one of the most attractive places in the south of Morocco Morocco.
From this valley, you will experience the changing landscapes along the way to the desert of Merzouga. In Merzouga, you will ride camels and enjoy the views of the dunes and sunset on your way to the camp. Dinner and a night are in the camp in the middle of the dunes. You will also enjoy drum music under the stars.
Day 2: Merzouga _ Rissani _ Erfoud _ Middle Atlas Mountains _ Fes
on this last day, you will enjoy sunrise and have breakfast in the camp. Moreover, we will visit a traditional market in Rissani and pass through the city of Erfoud. After you visit another market of dates in Erfoud, we will drive along the Ziz valley towards the city of Errachidia. It is the capital city of the Draa Tafilalt region. Thereafter, we will drive via the landscapes of the Middle Atlas Mountains again. On our way, you can see monkeys, and we cross Ifrane and Imouzzer towns. Then, we will finally arrive at Fes and we end 2 days tour from Fes to Merzouga.
